Proton Mail

Install an HTML email signature

Set the HTML signature in Proton Mail on the web. The mobile apps only offer plain text, but they send using the web signature.

  1. Copy the signature as it looks

Download your HTML signature file from your company signature page.

    • Open the file in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Leave Safari for this step. It can change the formatting when you copy.
    • Click the signature, select all with Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac), then copy with Ctrl+C or Cmd+C.

Copy the signature as it looks. If you paste the raw code into a normal signature box, the email will show the code instead of the design.

  2. Open Proton signature settings

    1. Sign in at account.proton.me and go to Settings → All settings.
    2. Select Identity and addresses and scroll to Display name and signature. Pick the right address if you have more than one.
  3. Paste and save

Click in the signature field, paste, then click Update. Compose a new email to check it.

To control replies and forwards, see Settings → Proton Mail → Composing.
